Viking Exhibition
Year 3 / 4 raiders spent the morning preparing for their viking
exhibition in the afternoon. They worked super hard to get their stations ready and have
written amazing news reports on the viking attack at Lindisfarne in AD 793.
Fantastic team work and effort today!
Thank you to everyone who came to visit :)

Harry & Elisha (Blog Editors)
In Newbold School we study the learning behaviours. They help us to know how to do our work with a good attitude. One of them is Motivation, another one is Enquiry, the rest is Resilience, Reflection, Independence, Collaboration.
Elisha says independence is his favourite. It means that you do work by yourself. Do you always need help? Don’t always rely on people around you. If you work independently, your brain will start rewiring, and you will be able to solve problems faster. For example Albert Einstein was independent when he was working so he was able to learn more.
Harry’s favourite is resilience. It means that you never give up and you keep on trying even when things get tough. It relates to independence. You can only be resilient if you make a decision independently.
“I was resilient for example when I got stuck on long division, but I didn’t give up and kept on trying. Now I can do it!”

Butser Ancient Farm
Year 3/4 had a great time learning about the Anglo Saxons. We were hooked straight away by the ancient buildings and animals on site. It was lovely to sit and enjoy our lunch in the sunshine and take a tour of the village. Here are some of the activities we took part in.
Ryan and Subhan have also written a funny limerick about our experience.
Sue from Butser Ancient Farm,
had a lot of charm,
She showed us her pig,
After our archaeology dig,
We left with no harm (Ryan)
Butser Ancient Farm,
Full of hope and charm,
Good for exploring,
Has a stone flooring,
It will bring you no harm (Subhan)

World Book Day
Thank you for coming in dressed up as your favourite
Varjak Paw character. I think most of us would agree that it was a
fantastic book! Also thank you to everyone who contributed to the ShareAStory display.
