Conscience Alley - Should Billy stay or go?

While reading 'The Wreck of the Zanzibar' by Michael Morpurgo, we carried out a Conscience Alley activity. The children had to present reasons why Billy should go away with Joseph Hannibal or reasons why he should stay at home.

The explanations each of the children gave demonstrated that they had developed a good understanding of the character, his relationship with other characters and of the story in general.
